Me & My Blog

People all over the world and the United States wonder what it is like being a Southern Belle in this day and age, well turns out it is hard to find a TRUE Southern Belle. Whether you are in South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky or Tennessee, a Southern Belle is not just any girl that is born and raised in the South.
I decided to Google "southern belle" to see what urban dictionary's definition of a Southern Belle is, well they hit right on the dot!

Southern women appreciate their natural assets:
Clean skin. A winning smile.
That unforgettable Southern drawl.

"Y'all come back!"

"Drop by when you can."
"How's your Momma?"

You could say I am all of this and more, my momma is a Southern Belle and has raised me to be just like her, I do happen to do things that...well...ain't so "Southern Belle"ish. I like to call myself the the 21st Century Scarlet O'Hara, I imagine she would be just like me if she 'lived' during this time.I even look like her with my dark hair, skin tone, lips and all...but I don't have a 18" waist, I like my fried food. I have tattoos, a potty mouth, and my nose is pierced. I sometimes dye my hair crazy colors, and I don't like kids. But I still dream of having a large wedding, with a lace gown, and long train, a big plantation house, cotton fields surrounding me, and a little girl that does equestrian riding, and a son who plays football. A husband who wears a suit and tie to work, and is a southern gentlemen. I am a Clemson football fan, in a Sorority, an Art History major, and I have my life all planned out...but...lets see how it goes.
